Norstar Modular ICS XC 7.0 software(2005)

Modular ICS XC software supports Nortel Companion Mobility, allowing customers to install up to 32 Base Stations and 60 portable telephones.
-Expand the system with a second 6 port expansion card. Provides expansion beyond 6
Expansion ports to a maximum of 12 all the six expansion ports are only used for station expansion no trunks allowed on these expansion ports.

The XC software comes in two flavors XC –USA, and XC-CDA
The only difference between the XC- USA and XC-Canadian version is the (UTAM) registration codes that required supporting the companion wireless on the USA version and nothing is required on the Canadian version, other than that all the features and the capability are the same.

UTAM Activation Code (U.S. only) activates the wireless capability on a new system and in system upgrades involving a change to the wireless number of Base Stations supported.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has appointed UTAM (Unlicensed Transition and Management) Inc. as the body responsible for coordinating and verifying the installation or relocation of personal wireless communication devices operating between 1.92 GHz and 1.93 GHz. This allows UTAM Inc. to monitor and control the level of wireless activity within this band for a specified geographical location.
Note:
If you carry on an upgrade for an existing system with XC software you must use the upgrade tool or the upgrade software flash card (if its 4.0 or higher) with the same country release If its USA you must Use USA not the CDA and vise versa other wise all the program will be lost and the system ID will change as well.

USA — Modular ICS - XC 7.0 Software Feature Cartridge,
CDA — Modular ICS XC 7.0 Software Feature Cartridge.
