Systems and software

There are two versions of Compact 616 systems:

DS (disconnect supervision) and NON DS are two different cabinets and two different software and are not interchangeable.
NON DS cabinets works only with NON DS software and vise versa.
  * 6X16 (Releases DR1, DR2 , DR5 and DR5.1) NON Disconnect supervision
  * 6X16 DS DR5 and DR 5.1 with Disconnect Supervision

The 6X16 software is not compatible with 6X16 DS system and the 6X16 DS software is not compatible with the 6X16 system.

Note:
Disconnect supervision (DS) it’s required to disconnect the telephone lines when some one hang-up the lines so its doesn’t hold the lines for longer time and doesn’t release the lines and by this way the line will not be available for use. It’s very important to use DS system with DS software if the customer utilizing voice mail. If not then the system will encounter a lot of messages with hang-up tones due to non release of the CO –line after the customer hang-up.with DS cabinets the system will send the DS signal to the central office (if its equipped) to notify when the lines was drooped in order to release the line and make available right away.
