Norstar (VMI) Voice Mail Interface NT8B89DA

The Voice Mail Interface (VMI) allows the connection of a stand alone third party auto Attendant/voice mail system to a Norstar (DR2 or higher). Each VMI supports two AA/VM ports and uses two station ports on the Norstar. The VMI provides basic functions of third party integration and pass the DTMF tones that required for any application that required that feature like i.e. integrated Fax server or paging system that required DTMF tones to pass thru in order to control the zones. External power supply required.

• The Nortel Norstar Voice Mail Interface (VMI) allows connection of a third party stand alone auto-attendant or voice mail system to a Norstar system.
• Forward to personal greeting
• Return to operator
• Message notification on/off using the “Message for you” display on the Norstar set.
• Each VMI supports 2 ports on the auto attendant or voicemail device and uses 2 station ports on the Norstar phone system.
• Up to 10 VMI units can be used on a Norstar to interface an auto attendant or voicemail system
• VMI’s are compatible with the following systems:

• 308 DR5.1
• 616 DR2 or higher
• 8x24 DR2 or higher
• CICS 1.0 or higher
• MICS 1.0 or higher
• MICS 1.0 XC or higher
